My World is All Abuzz!

Dear Diary,

I can think of no better way to spend an hour or two than watching and photographing bees in my garden.  My yard is quite abuzz right now mainly because of the Black Locust trees.  They are especially full of blooms this year and a great source of nectar.  An acre of Locust can produce 800-1200 lbs. of honey each year.  It is also an excellent wood for fence posts since it can last up to 100 years in the soil.  Locust is the best wood for burning too.  I've added a photograph of the beautiful flower clusters which hang 8" and smell like orange blossoms.  Here's a link to learn more about bees and Black Locust trees.
