Big Seas

My morning walk was onto my favourite bit of south Shetland - Scat Ness. I've walked, photographed and blipped there many times - particularly on days when there are big waves and some sunshine to light them up.

This morning the challenge was to find somewhere to photograph the waves without getting soaked too many times. There were strong winds blowing in from the west this morning - and the waves were best described by the Met Office "Sea State: Very rough or high, becoming high or very high, then phenomenal in far west later."

Phenomenal indeed.
