Basildon Park

First day of our holiday. Annie managed to get National Trust tickets for us to visit Basildon Park near Reading. Although only about an hour from us, we'd never visited before. There was lots of space and a very limited number of visitors so once we'd set off to walk, we saw few others. 

We started in overcast conditions but it was very warm. The rain did arrive eventually but we carried on sheltering under a few trees temporarily. Even when we got a bit damp, it was fine to just be in t-shirts. 

A lovely estate with plenty of different walking options, we will visit again.
