One more day

A long day of thunderstorms and mugginess and actually a fair quantity of refreshing rain.  The poppies heads bowed down by the raindrops.  
It's been a quiet day... thanks to the rain and the builders not on site.  We noticed today that one of the buildings roof is actually about 2 feet higher than it should be according to the plan.. we will contact the planning department tomorrow and see what happens.  At least a site visit should be forthcoming.  I am sure they will get away with it but it is a real shame  for our house and garden.. this 'garden room' is higher than the extension and those 2 feet would make all the difference to the outlook from our garden and house.
