Purple Greens

This would have suited Tuesday's tiny theme of vegetable.
The veggie garden was totally neglected when we were preparing for our daughter's wedding in February but one tiny bit of purple (which turns green on cooking) broccoli has survived. I keep forgetting to eat it. Not enough for a serving but I might toss it into the next stir fry.

After about 4 years the plastic on our greenhouse had disintegrated so today we have re-covered it. This time we used bird netting. The plastic wasn't quite enough for frost protection and what we need most is pest protection so will see how this does the job.
I wish the garden had been more productive while we are living down here in isolation.

PS. Mr isbi thinks it’s cauliflower. He might be right but it’s broccoli shape. Perhaps an under developed caulie.
