ON THE VERGE

Today is grey and there's a brisk, cold north-easterly wind which is stopping the insects from being very visible. However, there are these beautiful wildflower verges around the town AND I found a couple of Bee Orchids (extra) before I headed home for a hot drink and some toast. The Bee Orchids are quite far away from where I saw some last year in the cemetery, and those weren't near where they had been the previous year, so I'm not sure how they decide where to come up.

Here's hoping that the wind drops and the sun shines tomorrow. We could do with the summer coming back again to this neck of the woods.
