Longevity

Something we all aspire to.

This mini African Violet was bought for a bottle garden made for Jamie's windowsill when he was much younger, maybe ten years ago.   I've propagated it from leaf cuttings a couple of times and this is the latest result, flowering for the first time :-)

A wet day.  Thankfully it let up long enough this evening for us to meet Katie and tire Meg out at the beach before dark.   Indoor jobs were the order of the day.  I painted the inside of a floor to ceiling cupboard in the kitchen which now houses the boiler.  Why they didn't at least give it a coat of paint before fitting the new boiler defeats me.  It took a coat of stain cover, two coats where there was dry grey mould and a coat of emulsion and may still need another coat before the stained mustard yellow is expunged.  Ugh!
