Hodgson Fold

I've been planning to walk over this way for about 25 years. I can see it from the attic window. Its not a promising area, lots of housing from 30s to 90s, but a few interesting looking pathways leading over to Bolton quarries. I just wandered, almost at random, until I came across a group of 17th Century houses at Hodgson fold. by the names, probably farm buildings, a maltings and a smithie among others.
I probably shouldn't procrastinate in future.
