Here Today Gunnera Tomorrow

M and I visited 'Natural Surroundings' on the Bayfield Estate this afternoon.  Of course the real reason was so I could buy a couple of plants for the garden...not to treat ourselves to a tub of delicious Ronaldo's ice cream (gooseberry for M and salted caramel for me).  We only bought the ice cream to support this wonderful nursery/cafe/nature reserve, we didn't enjoy it at all!
By the way the species Gunnera is named after the Norwegian botanist Johann Ernst Gunnerus.
