Merry, not so merry.

Our precious little Chibbie has had a few itchy spots again. One was looking very nasty from scratching with a clever back foot and getting worse when I applied the prescription ointment. The ointment annoyed her and she seemed to scratch more. So, yesterday a call was made to the vet and an appointment made for today. Dr. Johnson felt she should sedate Merry and do a quick skin biopsy to see if we could find out what is causing the trouble. So, no food after midnight meant no breakfast this morning, many stressful hours of a hungry cat ensued until we left at 9:40. The clinic has new protocols for visits now..

COVID-19 UPDATE

We are very concerned about our clients and employees. We are no longer allowing clients into the office. If you need food or medications please call to pay with a credit card over the phone and we will bring the goods out to your car. If you have an appointment please call from the car and we will triage over the phone and come out to get your pet. If your pet is not due for any vaccines or otherwise healthy, we encourage you to consider to reschedule for a later date. Thank you for your understanding and stay well!

Merry did beautifully and was ready to be picked up just after noon. Unfortunately, she had three spots biopsied(two hidden itchy spots!) and stitched, so she has to wear the cone of shame to keep her from removing the stitches. It's difficult for her to get comfortable and eat, but we have helped her with eating and drinking( see extra) until she gets the hang of it...stitches come out July 2nd, a long haul. She has a new pill schedule to stop the itching as well.

For the Record,
This day came in hot and stayed hot, we're in for a heatwave.

All hands wary
