Lupine Blue

It was easier to spot butterflies on our birding walk at nearby Riley Wilderness Park then birds.  This Lupine Blue has a wingspan of .8-1"; is a spring & summer flier; and it's host is buckwheats.

While there was a nice variety of butterflies flying about, they are hard to photograph.  They seem to have no interest in posing.
