10km family bike ride this afternoon, with a stop off at Murrayfield.

A year ago, I was constantly tired and I'd had a stream of unpleasant chest infections, including superbug infections requiring IV antibiotics.  I'd had to give up running and I was generally run down.  I eventually saw a consultant who finally figured out the root cause of the problem (an MAI or nontuberculosis mycobaterium infection) and started me on a 2 year course of a cocktail of 3 antibiotics.  I'm exactly one year in to that now, and I'm delighted to say my health is much improved.  I've even managed to get back into running the last few months, and although some of the antibiotic side effects are unpleasant I'm definitely far healthier and fitter than I was a year ago!
