Echinacea flower and apple tree leaves

This self-sown echinacea popped up late in summer and bravely stands its ground. It gets just enough shelter from the large pot at the edge of patio to survive. I don't like its chances in the next round of frosts.

My column apple and dwarf nectarine amd peach trees are late losing their leaves. The shape of the house moderates the frost in this part of my garden and we've had had a lot of kind weather.

The apple is covered in yellow leaves and the little nectarine has nearly lost all its leaves. Someone needs to have a word with the peach. It's still covered in healthy green leaves.

Today's gratitude: For pottering my way through a few domestics today. That's a big step up after the past couple of days.
