CV measures #92

Hoary plantain Plantago media
I am always happy to see this plant growing in the chalk grasslands of the Downs, as it's flowers have a wonderful purple hue, quite unlike other plantains. Although often overlooked, it actually quite beautiful if you take time to look closely - something I am challenging myself to do more and more lately.
My extra today is a wonderful Leopard moth from the trap, who,  having laid looking dead for at lest 5 minutes (it's very clever defence strategy) suddenly sat up and started vibrating it's wings to take off! luckily I was able to pot him, and released him safely after dark.

Grateful today for -
Downland walks in wildflower meadows - nothing is better!
