I do love a skipper...

I went back to a spot I visited last week, this time, with my camera and macro lens. The bramble flowers were still well populated with gatekeeper and meadow brown butterflies, but they were too flighty to get anything decent. 

Instead, I managed to get several shots of this skipper who actually let me get quite close before fluttering off. This is only slightly cropped in.  I do love these little insects with their double wings and cute fuzzy faces.
