A Black Swallowtail Butterfly having a sipping-good time on the Pink Pentas.
*extras...Snowy Egret flying over the house this morning. A pair of Black-bellied Whistling Ducks enjoying a dip in a water-catchment area. They mate for life and often nest in 'colonies'. We have a flock (colony) with approx. 8-10 individuals nesting in some tall trees in our neighborhood. These native ducks have become quite common here in North Central Florida. I love to hear their 'whistling' calls as they fly over!
