Looking better

Rob and I went to Gait Barrows again to check on the progress of the Lady’s Slipper orchids. After the emergency watering and then the rain last week there are some signs that all is not lost. The roots can grow to great length and this one, which I planted myself, is in a deep grike.
Rob doesn’t think it will be strong enough to flower next year, but it’s wonderful to see it growing new shoots. Hope for the future.
