Portland Bill Lighthouse
This image was taken about an hour after yesterdays Blip in the very early minutes of Monday morning and was the last of a series I took here before heading off to another location on Portland.
The weather had been kind to me.
Back home by about 3:30am and with a cup of hot chocolate by my side I started the editing. This was made more tricky as for the first time ever I had tried nightscape panoramas.
This is one of them.
Just after 6 I realised it was light outside and opened the curtains. To my surprise a fox was in the garden. First time I had seen one. After a sort spell watching I set about cleaning and feeding the birds before heading off to bed.
I like the idea of doing all this stuff, walking around in the dead of night, staying up till dawn, sitting in the garden with a cup of tea (in my new bird identifiers cup my son had given me for Fathers day) and just watching the first breath of light over my bit of the world. In peace. But my body says no and it wreaks the rest of the day.
Thank goodness I've learnt that lesson and won't make that mistake again.
