Macro Metal Mini Mystery

This was not my intended blip, but as we were sitting in the sun  with coffee and cakes, I saw  something shining in the middle of the patio, this bright shiny nail, about 3cm. long. It's a type that I have never had, so how did it get there. Magpies are my guess, we have in the past found marbles that they must have dropped.
