Planks of wood like railway sleepers bordered the raised bed that Mr Pandammonium is digging his hole in. Now, only the compactness of the soil is holding the soil up. So many woodlice. So … many … woodlice.

It’s not often I mess with photos, but I wanted to bring out the texture, so I did mess with it. I used my phone’s editing tools – nothing fancy.
