Hoverfly

I spotted this tiny hoverfly on the ragged robin this morning (extra is full size with the 12-45mm lens) and he was still there when I came back with the macro lens on. I have never seen the colours in their wings before. 

I set my sewing table up in the extension this afternoon (we call it the garden room) and it was nice to sit by the open doors and sew.  It was as good as being outside. 

Mr T started chopping up my garden trimmings from yesterday and I have added some compost maker to see what happens.
