A day in the life

By Shelling

Evening

I've been rehearsing most of the afternoon. Our tribute to Leonard Cohen band is having a concert on Saturday so it was time to decide a program and run it through. The concert is going to be streamed from a church without any audience, just a camera. Exciting but difficult. I'll let you know about it on Saturday.

I took a late walk around eight o'clock in the beautiful, still evening. The larks and the blackbirds and other birds are still singing in the groves and in the sky above, and the whole atmosphere feels a bit magic. The farmer has put his watering on over his strawberry fields, all automatic in every detail and the waterspray forms lovely shapes in the sunlight.
