Adventuring

New Beginnings

A 'koru' is a Maori name for the new frond emerging from the Pongo fern which is a native of New Zealand. The tightly curled spiral looks like it has tiny caterpillars crawling over it, but these are part of the frond and will eventually grow into beautiful, feathery fern leaves.

I think of the koru as new beginnings, new life. I am hopeful today, since my current job is coming to an end in a couple of months and my future is uncertain. I feel an air of anticipation of new adventures.
