Liga

We were over to Joe's bright and early and masking up doors and windows ready for the paint spray thingie. Paint spray thingie collected it proceeded to spurt out where it shouldn't -  a crack in the nozzle or something technical. How disappointing for by the time it would have been repaired/a new  one sorted there would only have been a few hours working time. Even more frustrating the weather looks dreadful for the next few days. Reluctantly we went into plan B mode and set off for the beach instead! This is Liga Bay looking pretty gorgeous and not a soul around. Above it is the monument to Abel Tasman, a rather plain white obelisk. Yer man entered the bay in 1642 and apparently discovered New Zealand. Yes, there were of course people here already who were none too thrilled to see alien ships arriving and four of said aliens were killed. Impressively, the monument gives the European version of events and the Maori version.
It's sort of monochrome for the wide Wednesday challenge!
Other news, we have managed to book a flight home - 9th August, Auckland to Dublin then we'll play it by ear!
