Lake Heron

Awesome day at the Ashburton Lakes well worth the 5,30am start. Rainie did all the driving. The first half of the trip was in fog, dark and on gravel roads she sure did well. 
I loved every minute of it, the scenery was awesome, the company was great and all was well with our world. 
It was magic seeing the sun come up over the mountains and hitting the snow clad hills.
Met a lovely shepherd and his dogs shifting 800 head of merinos up the road and that was a great sight to see
Arrived back home after 5pm tonight very tired and happy. A day that will forever stay in ones memory of being surrounded by unspoilt beauty, tranquility and peace
