Turbulant torrent....

under the footbridge. This is an amazing area for very old Birches and Oaks, all covered in a variety of lichens and mosses. The flowers are coming, but slowly this year. Later, there will be an abundance of flowers and butterflies.
The extra is put in because I couldn't understand how a new island had appeared in the loch. From a distance, it showed as about several hundred metres in length. After zooming in on it I realised it was huge numbers of Greylag Geese and their offspring! At this time of year, the adults all arrive at the Lochside together for a mass launch of young! It was an intriguing sight!
