Kererū

Back Blip from Akaroa

A very wet, cold day in Akaroa. The birds were loving the weather and having turns at the feeders. The Kererū (Wood Pigeon) don't go to the feeders so was wondering why they there. Then I saw what they were after... there were some seed pods still left on the Kōwhai tree and they were eating them. The sure were weighing the branches down!
