Maroubra Beach

The last time we walked anywhere near a beach was 20 March, the Friday before lockdown. Maroubra is fairly close to home, but not as popular as Bondi or Coogee. The main is Mahon Pool, just north of the beach (extra). From the southern end we followed the coastal track to Magic Point. There were migrating whales, but too far offshore to see clearly. But a pair of black cockatoos screeched low overhead, then landed in scrub either side of the track. Tonight it’s back to chilly Scandinavia for series 3 of The Bridge.
