Nature Diary... Grass in the Evening Sun

Another wonderful day with just enough gentle breeze to keep things a little cooler. All the garden plants were gasping for water and I just about emptied the water butt giving them all enough to keep them going for a couple of days.
I sat in the garden absorbing the gentleness of the evening and feeling a calming sense hope after everything we’ve been through during the last few months. Countless birds were singing their evening melodies, the solar fountain in the garden pond was still dancing just as it had been since 6 o’clock this morning, and across the lawn a lone strand of grass joined in the dance. Simply heavenly.
