Packwood House

Wonderfully overgrown and deliciously lush, I didn’t think that the National Trust needed to apologise.

In so many ways I prefer the quiet and natural look, with long grass, overflowing borders and narrow gateways covered by blooms.

Packwood House, with its yew trees forming The Sermon on the Mount, has had a chance to recover and refresh.

It was gloomy. It rained heavily from time to time, but it was fabulous to be back.
