Beauty is all around us.

The Calendula. From seeds to flowers.

Now the Vegan Challenge is complete, I learnt alot in those 22 days,  and made some good friends. I have joined the Graduate Group, which is more about friendship and sharing our way forward as people who are serious about the issues Vegans, or plant based eaters, campaign about to try and make life better for animals, healthier for people and less polluted and wasteful of resources for the planet, and those who will inherit whatever we leave for the next generation. It is good to focus on these things and know there are many like minded people doing the same.
The weather has gone less intense and we have thankfully been for a local walk before the heavens opened and the smell of the rain was so lovely after the heat of the last few days.
I have been growing Calendula plants  in my kitchen and this blip collage is a celebration of the growing journey from seed to flower.
They are very easy to germinate and ideal to inspire children who are becoming young gardeners. If you harvest the seeds, you will have an endless supply and cycle of Calendulas year after year. The pungent leaves are peppery and edible in salads. I don't eat the flowers, but they bring vibrance to floral arrangements.
Arthur's cool gel dog mat arrived and being a large cat, it is perfect for him. From Amazon and a really useful purchase in a shade of royal blue.
Whatever your weather blip friends, enjoy Saturday.
