Monument

This life-sized monument adorns the center of Marttila, a municipality with history. The famous (in Finland) Bull Road of Tavastia crosses the area that's been inhabited since the Neolithic. The bull-word is likely a misnomer, since the Finnish for bull, härkä, is easily confused with Old Scandinavian häär, meaning a warrior band (like Heere in German). So it was a military route.
