Wound up in Wexford

We took a trip out to Pensthorpe today - our first proper trip out since lockdown.  As Bom mentioned, they have got themselves pretty well organised, with lots of hand sanitiser stations and some one-way systems.  It was the last day of the "members only" opening, and we were impressed with the courtesy and distancing of all the people there.  We were surprised to find that the hides were open - but on the basis that the doors were all propped open and so were all the windows.  Everyone was sensible, and didn't hog the space.  It was pretty windy, and showery, and we didn't stay long.

We visited the flamingos, and the "chick" has visibly matured since Bom's visit (see extra) - it still has grey legs, but is starting to show some signs of pink in the plumage.  I also managed a photo of what I believe is a black tailed skimmer - also in extras - and a skipper butterfly - is it a large or a small? - not sure - but it was pretty small!

We finished off the day with a visit to Taverham Garden centre, where we found some more rockery stones at a decent price.
