horns of wilmington's cow

In a (broody) flap

Siggy has been broody now for 3-4 weeks. Basically unless you remove her from the nestbox and shut the door to the run, she'd spend the whole day in there. Better to suffer the whingeing and get her out to eat. It does mean that she regular has a flap, or a shake, all accompanied by a weird grumbly call, and an almost ever-present fluffed-up-ness.

She'll snap out of it sooner or later....

Popped out to look at a house and land that probably aren't right for us earlier in the day; and had my brother chatting for a few hours on his way back up north after a weekend with his daughter - nice to speak to another proper human being!
