Lockdown Day 98 - Riband Wave

This moth must have entered my house during the warmer days when the windows were left open.  I found it behind the curtain on the wall beside the window.

It is called a Riband Wave moth (Idaea aversata), but "Where is the ribon" I hear you ask.

This moth comes in two forms and in one form, the background colour is much darker between the two black wiggly lines that traverse all four wings forming a band or ribon. In this form however, the background colour of the wings is uniform across all four wings. This form is called Idaea aversata ab. remutata.

But forget all that.  Fortunately it is just a convenient moth that has provided me with an emergency blip.
