the long weekend over, news that it's on target to be the hottest june on record, been over a fortnight since the temperature didn't get over 38 which begins to explain things...the humidity risen into that a sense of your skin calcifying, skeleton mutating into metal, holding the heat and radiating as the skin reflects it, a cycle of warmth as nature plays some tricks and intensifies the gravitational levels around you, movement slowing, sweat trickling....

but the rains have arrived, the last four days afternoon thunderstorms, today it managed to target my proximity, allowing a moment of relief as i stood open mouthed in the downpour to the bewilderment of passers by..
