The name escapes me!

I would be lying if I said that the name escapes me ..... I can't remember ever seeing this flower(?) before and even after searching through my wild flower books I still couldn't find any plant that closely resembles this.

I'm sure somebody in blipland will be able to tell me what it is. It was growing up at the Heritage Park in among a clump grasses and wild poppies.
