Little hummel

This was a gift from a friend. It has the cutest little eyes....
ha ha... a link to the challenge today: eyes.
Our family never owned a Hummel figurine. In the 50th (when I lived in Germany) my grand-mother and I used to shop for one every year for her uncle in America. He sent us 'Care packages' after the war. I remember those very well, including the famous American 'fruit' cake, I got an angora white sweater once, and sweets, lots of sweets
The uncle had died before I came to the States, we believe, but he lived only 25 miles away. I have a photo of his house but no address and I cannot trace him or his relatives.
