BIRD'S EYE MAPLE

This wood is one of my favourites but it's the very devil to work.  - the grain goes every which way & every which where. To use it with any confidence it needs to have been drying for ages. Then don't try planing it un less you have a bench planer - & then you need a drum sander to get rid of all the whoopsies!

Almost nobody uses it these days because of its difficulty...
