Preserving Raspberries

700g of raspberries were put into a 3 litre jar and 300g sugar were added. It was intended that the sugar would dissolve in the juices of the fruit, but when little had happened overnight due to the dryness of the raspberries, it was decided to add 140cl of liquid; exactly 2 bottles. The colour and flavour should transfer to the liquid within a few weeks.
