Flower sequence

As far as I can make out this stalk has mini flowers all the way up and they start opening from the bottom and work their way up being fertilised by hover flies possibly? Then after the petals fall the little fluffy seed pods appear. Just noticed them today, hence the blip! Extras of the ferry coming in at 4.45 and leaving at 8.45. Quick turnaround as only one third the number of passengers! The moon is waxing gibbous and is faintly seen on the departure!
