The Rabbit Is Out Of The Hat

This piece of furniture is a "Hutch" as they say in America. It could also be a Welsh Dresser.  Display shelves above storage is a configuration is common to both.

This is an American Queen Anne Style which belonged to Pat’s parents. It is now in our kitchen. Remarkably the marble top and mirror survived the sea voyage from San Francisco to Scotland.

The original owner was a Scotsman called John Muir who hailed from Dunbar and emigrated to America. He became America’s most famous Environmentalist.

Domestic rabbits live in hutches.
