Mother of Millions

This isn't a 'flower' actually, so I'm not going to tag it for FlowerFriday. It's a tiny new plant of the 'Mother of MIllions'
This is Myriophllum delagoensis, not to be confused with 'Mother of Thousands', which is another Kalanchoe with a story for another time. MOM is  originally from Madagascar and truly lives up to her name! She produces many, many, many of these tiny 'plantlets' and wherever they drop, a new plant sprouts. These plants can be very invasive and are poisonous to livestock and pets (our dogs have never even considered eating them) and their milky white sap can be caustic to human skin as well. They have caused many problems in both Africa and Australia. I don't 'allow' them to get too aggressive and have no qualms about pulling them out by their roots and disposing of them. They're an interesting plant and as long as they behave themselves they can keep calling our yard 'home'! A Happy Fourth to All and please continue to follow all safety guidelines! Masks and Social Distancing will make a difference! :)
