Lady's Bed(straw) Bugs

It's National Meadows Day. We have a small field to the south of our property that is not cultivated or cut. My favourite part of it is where the lady's bedstraw grows. It's bounded by a few clumps of knapweed and the bugs love it. Ollie dog and I sat down there this afternoon breathing in the honey scent and watching to see what visited.

The most interesting was a box-tree moth, bottom left. I've never seen one of these before. They came to the UK from Asia in 2007. Bottom right is a pink grasshopper and above that a marsh fly. Top right is the first common blue butterfly I have seen this season.
