Twyford Down monument

On the eastern side of the M3 cutting through Twyford Down, a standing stone was erected to lament the destruction of the pre-historic landscape on Twyford Down.

It has been smashed to the ground subsequently. The engraved names are of those responsible for destruction of the ancient landscape  (mostly members of the Thatcher cabinet) in the early 1990s.
