Apart from Ringlets there were very few butterflies on our walk this morning but I was pleased to see a Six Spotted Burnet moth feeding on a Northern Marsh Orchid with a Burnet caterpillar on a leaf (just visible at the bottom of the extra photo)   A couple of bright yellow moths with intricate wavy patterns were Yellow Shell moths which resemble some seashells and unlike the day flying Burnett moths generally fly around dusk.  I also found another unidentified moth emerging from a cocoon attached to a stem of grass but it was a poor photo.
