Two Hundred Forty Four Years

Happy Birthday to the United States of America, 244 years old today, July 4, 2020. It's quite a challenge this time to feel celebratory as the virus continues to gorge on the deeply compromised body our nation, while a fool in high office mouths nonsense that contradicts all science and sense. That we can continue limping along I suppose is testament to the strength and resilience of the people and our infrastructure so I carry on hoping and believing that justice, truth, integrity, kindness, compassion, and humanity will soon have their day again.
