Sunny Hunny

The stint in limbo in Cambridge has long since smashed all my records for continuous time in one place. Ali my boss and friend suggested I join her for a week away in Hunstanton for some time near the coast and a combination of a few days off, remote working, chips, cliff-top walks and kitesurfing (she is an aficionado).

The check-in time at the bungalow we booked was 7pm, due to the owners doing a deep clean now that coronavirus restrictions have eased. This gave us ample time to arrive and mozy around the promenade, ending up at Old Hunstanton beach to watch the kitesurfers and hunker in the dunes against the wind. Indeed the prevailing conditions in ‘Sunny Hunny’ were less sunny and more windy, but it’s the UK coast so changeable weather is par for the course. After an evening meal of chips and a battered sausage, we were well set for the week.
