Elegance....

We have a charming velvet covered Victorian/Edwardian sofa in our sitting room. I usually take care to cover it with a light rug and cushions to protect it from our cats and dog. I washed the covers today. Marigold subsequently settled on the uncovered sofa. She has decided that the sage green velvet suits her coloring perfectly.
Daughter Margaret and granddaughter Emily flew here from Wellington this evening. It is lovely to see them and the two tortie and white cats made a special fuss of them.
