Rain Lily

With all of the rain we've been getting lately, Rain Lilies Zephyranthes atamasca have been popping up all over the place. This one resides in our front yard. This Rain Lily is a perennial Florida Native Wildflower in the Amaryllis family. Their native range is from Central and North Florida through the Panhandle of our state and is identified as a 'threatened species'.  As sweet and unassuming as it appears...all parts of this lovely plant are poisonous if eaten!
A Peaceful Week to All of You! :)
